About Us

Maruleng Athletics Club ( MAC)

The Maruleng Athletics Club was founded in 2023 by the Maruleng Hiking Club. By 2024, the club have successfully registered around 20 members and hosted a successful Mayor’s Marathon. It is run by enthusiastic young members from the local communities. 

The club’s constitution includes an Executive Committee with four positions: Chairperson, vice-chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer. The current Executive Committee consists of:

  • Chairperson: Ntloana Hlabishi Peter
  • Vice Chairperson: Molamodi Mothoka Caiphus
  • Secretary: Malepe Mathopeng Maureen
  • Treasurer: Sodi Renate

Additionally, the club has formed an Ad-hoc committee to assist with technical and administrative tasks, which includes:

1. Nyathi Patrick – Club Captain and Coach
2. Monareng Collen
3. Mathebula Ronald
4. Machimane Kokwana Jinion
5. Masete Edward
6. Maebela Annah

By 2025, the club has registered approximately 70 athletes and plans to host two marathon events.
